Chemung County Department of Aging & LTC may be able to assist with your unique legal needs. The Chemung County Office for the Aging & Long Term Care provides advocacy, employment, energy assistance, information and referral, legal, transportation and weatherization services to the residents of Chemung County. Information and Referral services provide free information and referral on aging-related programs, topics and issues. Legal services are provided to residents of Chemung County who need assistance in appealing Social Security, Medicare, SSI, Medicaid, and Food Stamp decisions. Legal assistance is also provided for wills, consumer issues, landlord/tenant disputes, and grandparent’s rights when all other remedies fail. Priority is given to those individuals with the greatest financial and social needs.
