City Bar Justice Center – Immigrant Women and Children Project may be able to assist with your unique legal needs. The Immigrant Women and Children Project provides legal services for victims of violent crimes including domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking and hate crimes based on gender, gender expression and/or sexuality. The project serves victims of labor and sex trafficking. The staff and trained volunteer attorneys assist clients with the preparation of immigration applications e.g. VAWA self-petitions, U Nonimmigrant Status petitions (U Visas), T Nonimmigrant Status petitions (T Visas), and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status petitions. The project also provides assistance with civil, criminal and other legal issues related to crimes described above. All legal services are free to low income individuals in the New York City metro area.
