New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG): Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program may be able to assist with your unique legal needs. The Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program (EFLRP) is a small legal program within New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG). EFLRP has two full-time attorneys and three paralegals. For the general public, EFLRP maintains an informational website at http://www.wnylc.com/health/ and operates a hotline for advice and information about access to Medicaid eligibility, Medicaid home care, long-term care, and prescription drug benefits. It provides limited direct legal services in public benefits to clients of Selfhelp’s program in New York City, which include senior centers, case management programs, and senior housing. EFLRP also conducts professional Continuing Legal Education programs to teach advocacy techniques to legal and social services professionals in these areas.
